Here is the shopping hack ! Say you buy items that cannot be delivered to a delivery point. You may still be able to have them delivered to a French post office, using the "Poste Restante" service.

How can I receive an Amazon marketplace products to a delivery point ?

Create on Amazon a new personal shipping address, with the address of the French post office, by adding the mention "Service de Poste Restante". So Amazon will ship the product to the post office, just like it is your home address. This service is charged 4 euros / parcel, and there may be no tracking number associated to it. Your Amazon shipping address will look like:

01210 FERNEY-VOLTAIRE
Note that you can always ask a French resident to receive it for you. But as they also work during daytime, you may experience delay and may want to stay in control of when you receive and collect your parcel.
